I shot a nice 11 Pointer Friday afternoon about 4:00 p.m. I had two other nice 8 pointers and several Does out in the field in front of me. I passed on the 8 pointers, they just were not what I was looking for. My stand was set up on the edge of the woods facing a large open field. I could hear a buck scrapping his antlers against a tree to my left, but could not get a visual on him. A few minutes later he walked out in to the open field about 70 yards away. I rasied my Mossberg 500 with Iron Sights, squeezed the trigger, and hit him behind the front right shoulder. He walked 10 yards and dropped to the ground. I am starting to like this stand, I shot a nice 8 pointer last year opening day afternoon out of it.

Thanks Deerhead, I am surprised there any big bucks left after you and your boy hit the woods.
