Hey Boy's has any one been out with the old smoke pole, I got in last night from another trip to NY, My mom went back in the hospital and she is doing fine I am going to get her on the 10th so she will be closer to me, Muzzleloader close's on the 9th so I have a few days left to hunt, I am going out this evening for awhile Maybe I will see that drop tine buck Have not been over there in awhile, Where is everyone I don't see that many New Posts I guss I will have to post the next pic in the rack room!!!! The rut should be here shortly or maybe it's in, I have not been out, Has any one seen any activity out there  |

Hey deerhead, I bet you are BUSY That's a good now a days I went out this evening and did not see a darn thing but I did walk up on the BIGGEST Scrap and RUB That I have ever seen It had to be 6ft round and the branches over head were broke at least 8ft high and that rub was chest height I wonder if it is that drop tine I missed over there I am going to hunt there on Saturday do you or anyone have any suggestions on how to hunt this scrap It looks and smells (strong) to be very active  |

REDHOT, hunt that scrape on a windy or rainy day as the big bucks know their scent will get covered up with the rain or leaves (on windy days). They like to check their scrapes every few hours in the rut unless they we spooked into going nocturnal.

DEERHEAD I found that scrap on the way out of the field this evening and no one else hunts this bean field, so he is not spooked, I don't know if the rut is in yet I just got home and I have to work tomorrow and can't hunt till Sat Do you think I should use some Buck lure Or Do a lil rattling and grunting or just set up about 50yds away and wait  |

I just went back to the mini mag it told me all I wanted to know Glad I save them I wish I could get out of work It is raining and some wind tonight and will clear out in the AM I am going to get in and get out without trying to disturb that area of the field and hope he shows up why I am there (BANG)

Yesterday was a beautiful day cold & light wind and not even a mouse moved all day long Going out this morning with the boy's, going to be another cold clear day hope they are on the move They tell me they are chasing doe's and this is the last day of Muzzleloader and I have to go back to NY to get my Mom so No Bow Hunting this week Any way boy's GOOD LUCK AND BE SAFE IN THE WOODS I will talk to all when I get back hope to see some new pic's in the Rack Room  |
